Snow Day TV

I feel both upset and disgusted by these people with "hoarding" problems. I mean, these houses are absolutely filthy...like living in a dang junk yard! These people were sleeping on couches and chairs because their beds were covered in crap. The husband and wife hadn't had "relations" in who knows how long?! I personally can't even handle the chaotic shelves in the back of Marshalls..and outside at the Berlin Mart is enough to throw me into a panic attack. Imagine living among mountains of clutter, 50 year-old ceramic fish...and black laquer furniture from the 80's.

The hoarders say that they hang on to the stuff because they are hanging onto the memories. This kind of struck me in a way...we had something in common...me and the hoarders!!! Only it isn't my home that is cluttered with memories...sometimes, it's my brain.

2nd attempt...a little lighter this time

wow...that was a pretty depressing post. Let's try again...

I HATE VACCUMING!!! I hate even trying to spell the word vaccuum! So today, I was blissfully using my iRobot Roomba...just basking in my freedom from my housework. I was thrilled by the notion that technology is taking over the grunt work of the world...or my apartment. Did I mention that I HATE VACUUMING!!!??? Anyway, I got to wondering what I was going to do with all of my free time....

...my blog was born.

hmmmm...

maybe my life isn't as interesting as I thought it would be...I can't decide if I have too much or nothing to say.

okay...let's start small...

Shelly the turtle died today. I gave the class a puzzle box to use to bury her. The puzzle was a picture of a handsome tuxedo cat perched on a fluorescent pink taffeta couch sitting in a garden. I know...it's weird...and ostentatious...and completely inappropriate for the situation. But my grandpop completed the puzzle and used glue to seal the 500+ pieces together. My grandpop gave me the puzzle because he knows I'm the crazy cat lady of the family. I think it made a suitable box for Shelly...plenty of room on that pink taffeta couch for her, next to the handsome tuxedo cat.
